Data Deletion

You can request the deletion of your data from hapsay at any time. This page explains what data we store and how to request its removal.

What data we store

When you interact with a business through Facebook Messenger or Instagram that uses hapsay, we may store:

  • Your name and profile information from the messaging platform.
  • Conversation messages exchanged with the business through the automated system.
  • Booking details, including dates, times, and contact information you provided during the conversation.

Conversation sessions expire automatically after 24 hours of inactivity. Booking records are retained for as long as the business account is active.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your data, send an email to:

Please include the following in your request:

  • Your name as it appears on your Facebook or Instagram profile.
  • The name of the business you interacted with (if known).
  • The Facebook or Instagram account you used to send messages.

What happens after your request

  • We will confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours.
  • Your data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days of the request.
  • Once deleted, this action cannot be undone. Any booking records associated with your data will also be removed.

Business account holders

If you are a business using hapsay and wish to delete your account and all associated data (including customer records), contact us at [email protected]. Upon termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days. After 30 days, all data will be permanently deleted.
